Kate has updated with 160 new items in Sims 1 Walls and Floors
If you've been stuck staring at a plain black screen instead of The Sims 1 since upgrading to Windows 10 then try the following quick and easy fix!
You should find that the black overlay is now gone and you can play The Sims as normal!
A few people have also contacted me asking about installation problems under Windows 10 - unfortunately not a lot has changed there - all the old installation problems that happened with every previous operating system are cropping up again. My advice is that if you want to reduce installation related suffering then getting a copy of The Sims Complete collection is preferable to using individual packs.
Prices are low for second hand copies on Ebay if the full priced Complete Collection is too expensive. Just remember to ask the seller for photos of the shiny side of the discs before you buy if you are in any way concerned about scratched or broken discs!
